Checklists

Checklists lets you build any number of inspection templates (e.g. vehicle walk-around, electrical safety check), publish exactly one valid version per template, and run recurring inspections on subjects such as vehicles, machines or locations. Every run is stored as an immutable, signed record.

Template, version, item

A checklist is the template (name, subject type, cadence). Beneath it hang versions — exactly one is published and therefore valid for running. A version consists of items with a label, sub-points, hint and answer type (OK/defect, yes/no, select, number with a target range, text, date, photo).

Due dates & running

Under Due dates you define which template is inspected on which subject at which cadence (e.g. walk-around per vehicle every working day). The list shows what is due today and what is overdue. When running, you rate each item; a defect requires a note and photo and becomes a trackable finding that can turn into a task, damage report or maintenance order.

Evidence & correction

A completed submission is an inspection record and stays immutable. A later correction is made only as an amendment with history (who, when, why) — the original content remains visible. Performers see only their own submissions; only authorised roles may edit and publish templates.

Law & compliance

Inspection records are mandatory in many sectors: BetrSichV §§3/14 (inspect work equipment and record the result), DGUV Rule 70 §36 (daily vehicle walk-around, annual vehicle inspection), DGUV Rule 3 (electrical equipment), ArbSchG §6 (documentation), and HACCP self-checks under Regulation (EC) 852/2004. Who ran which inspection with what result is performance data and, under BetrVG §87(1) no. 6, subject to works-council codetermination.
