Data analysis

The data centre is your self-service reporting hub: dashboards, time series and metrics read-only across your booked modules — powered by embedded Apache Superset. This module is the catalogue and the safeguard in front of it: it governs who sees which report, which privacy-safe source it reads from and who accessed it when.

What you do here

You create reports (dashboard, time series, table or metric), pick an approved data source and open the analysis embedded. A report moves through draft → published → archived. Standard reports per booked module ship with it, so the shelf does not start empty.

Data protection & k-anonymity

Reports read exclusively from PII-safe, k-anonymous views (default threshold 5: aggregates with fewer underlying records are suppressed). Health data (Art. 9 GDPR: care, medication) appears only aggregated, never person-related and never as a filter dimension. Personal names, addresses and staff numbers are never a grouping attribute.

Visibility & sharing

Every report has its own sharing: for a role, a single person or everyone. This makes "analysis for the site lead only" possible — the rule is enforced in the database, not just hidden in the menu. Without a grant, a report is visible only to its author plus administrators.

Delivery

Instead of hunting for reports you subscribe to them: as PDF or CSV, e.g. every Monday 7am by email (via the Documents module) with a note through Notifications. Every view and every export is logged.

Operations, law & brand

Embedding uses only short-lived guest tokens + per-tenant row-level security; Superset reads through a read-only role on PII-safe views, hosted in the EU (Art. 44 ff. GDPR). Analytics about employees are subject to co-determination (§ 87 (1) no. 6 BetrVG) — the k-anonymity threshold and the ban on person-level drill-downs are the usual commitments of a works agreement and sit in the product. If we operate Superset for you, that is data processing on your behalf (Art. 28 GDPR, DPA). Apache Superset is Apache-2.0 licensed (renting permitted); licence and NOTICE are included and the "Apache Superset" mark is not presented as our own.
